Hockey trade, although I'd be willing to add picks if needed. Philly trades someone who isn't in favour with the coach for a player of similar age, counting stats, and contract. The Bruins pay a little extra for upside.

Didn't realize they were top 10 this year. 2025 pick would also do fine

Mentioned above, I didn't realize they were top-10 this season. I'd be fine with the 2025 pick in that case

You have peaked my interest with this trade lol. I don’t know too much about the prospect. On surface level I would maybe want a 3rd or 4th thrown in for Frost, but depending on how good the prospect actually is I might be okay leaving it as is.

Merkulov is a very naturally gifted scorer, plays LW and C and is probably ready for NHL games in some capacity. Lead Providence in scoring with 60 points in 64 games and is generally considered their best player. The downside is he's already 23, so you'd want to get him into the NHL now or never.

Thanks for that, would you say adding a 3rd or 4th to this would be too much or no?

I'd be willing to do it to make it happen, I think. I'm fairly high on Frost, and unlike Geekie I don't think he has hit his ceiling.

UDFA in his second year pro, and is leading Providence in scoring for the 2nd straight year. He's likely at the point where he needs NHL playing time since he's 23, and if the bruins aren't gonna give it to him then they should move him. Better at center then he is on the wing, but can play both.

That's actually a pretty intriguing trade for Frost. Kudos. I think it could be a good deal for the Flyers.

I would say NJ wouldn't pay their top 10 pick for Ullmark, but seeing as you have already acknowledged that I could see maybe their 2025 1st if they have real hope in a bounce back, though it would likely come as a top 10 protected pick.

Devils should trade this years 1st, none of those guys will help them in 2-3 years, when they are trying to win now. Unless you think Tij or Catton are perfect for Jack cuz man he cant be the center with his lack of faceoff%. They shouldnt draft a Dman in the first. maybe Greentree he is big which again devils need but Eiserman could be a nice flyer pick.
Either way i would trade it like they did with Cory Schinder

Ullmark probably isn’t worth the 2024 first, but he’s probably worth more than the NJD 2025.

With Hanifin signing, I think I’m more inclined to keep him for one more year and lose him outright. He’ll do more for winning though it probably means a less viable defenseman than Skjei.

I’m not sure if trading Ullmark for a 2025 first is a smart decision.

In this case, you are using his salary to pay for Skjei which maybe makes it more appealing. Not sure it takes it over the top and my guess is Skjei will be in demand
