Nikolaj Ehlers > Nick Robertson+2025 3rd round pick, Considering Ehlers isn't available. Why would Chevy accept that joke of an offer.

Noah Hanifin > TJ Brodie+2023 5th round pick, Talk about another joke of an offer.

This may come as a shock to you, but it isn't the players who decide whether they come and go -- it's the team's GM. Except in the case of John Tavares, who has an absolute NMC and is MOST unlikely to waive it to leave his childhood dream team. And even if Forsberg and Josi wanted out (dubious) and asked out (HIGHLY doubtful), the former is signed for 7 more seasons and the latter for 5, so the Nashville GM would get more than two seasons of Marner and Tavares each for them, never mind the Murray cap dump. (Nashville's goaltender is rumored to be pretty good, you know.)

Hanifin is worth more than Brodie; since Hanifin is six-and-a-half years younger than Brodie, Calgary would MUCH rather keep him around and hope to re-sign him.

The difference between Ehlers and 31-game Robertson is the difference between a fart and a hurricane.

Despite my criticisms, don't be discouraged. None of us was very good at the beginning. Just keep trying.

If Forsberg & Josi don't want to stay for a rebuild, we sure as hell aren't trading them for that return. All picks and top prospects or kick rocks.
