If what the above comment says is true, both teams don't consider that. We wouldn't be trading a center(as of RN our weakness) Kadri is a 2nd line center, and Backlund is a 3rd line center. We wouldn't have a 1st line center, and have enough wingers. Also Andersson isn't available

Actually you got that backwards. Nylander is good but Calgary wouldn't trade Andersson or Lindholm straight up for Nylander. That's assuming Lindholm extends if he won't extend that's another story. Yes Calgary could use a goal scoring right shot forward like Nylander but 1st line centers and 1st pairing defensemen don't grow on trees.

In reality he is a 2 on a lot of teams. He had a career year in 2021-2022. But the vast majority of his other seasons are most teams #2 guy

He's a 1 on half the teams in the league.
