Stunning.

Parts is a huge risk honestly not worth taking.

Galchenyuk on 3rd line? The dude barely touched NHL ice last year.

Whole 4th line is kinda eh. Not sure how that works out

Love the idea of ROR think it’s going to take a bit more though. Pacciorety might not even play at all next year use that money on a prove it guy like Drouin. Sign Cogs let him LOC and Ben Meyers be the 4th line and try to find some go hard guys looking to win play with Newhook.

Oh yeah, the bottom six is kinda trash on paper, but they seemed to like the idea of Galchenyuk as a project at the start of last season before he got hurt, and they need bargain bin guys anyway, so I could see them circling back to him as a bottom-6 option. I feel like Newhook could benefit from playing with at least one other offensively skilled guy, and Galchenyuk at least has that element. Mostly this and the Patches signing just reflect the idea that they'll need to take some risks. I don't see them being able to afford anyone who's truly can't-miss. So in that vein I like the idea of Drouin too if they can get him on a cheap deal.

I like signing Patches and sticking him on LTIR while his achilles heals up. The Avs are using LTIR already so, why not. I really dont want to run back Gally, Nieto, Malgin etc. and I would love to see some more grit, size and skill to insulate Newhook and Meyers, who should really start as 3C/4C next year.
