This would 100% mean the rebuild is on and will take 3 or 4 years instead of 2-3 unless the Jets can flip those picks into something sooner.

Getting 2 - 1st round picks, 2 - 2nd round picks, a goalie who can play as a 1B or 2A, plus some random players is too much to pass up.

I am confused... Why can't Arizona pay Schmaltz? Schmaltz cap hit is 5.85 mil, Nylander and Granlund is 5.775 mil. Doesn't Arizona take dead cap just to get to the cap floor or am I missing something?

That Jets offer is too good to pass up except DeSmith. I don't think we would want him. Take him out and a pick or a RHD prospect.

No way Dubas does this. there are better ways to make this team a contender without giving away every single draft pick the next 2-3 years. ARI and WPG deals are just awful for the PENS

Problem with Schmaltz deal for ARI is the salary he is owed. Real cash is more than his cap hit and they are broke!

Return is big but figured I’d get a lot of comments about ‘’no way they move him for a 1st and crap’’ which always happens lol

Picks aside, I love this roster construction. Team would be hard to beat and you could roll 4 lines with scoring talent and lots of shut down PK strength as well
