Because he decided to sign in Calgary. He could waive but I doubt it

He’d have a better chance at winning another cup with OV & the caps. & most likely play on a line/power play with OV until he retires

That first part is pretty debatable. I don't think Washington is close to winning anymore cups. They are definitely on the downswing now

It doesn't matter because Caps decline both trades. Both trades are horrible for them.

I'd take Strome (younger, cheaper, and just as good) over Kadri any day of the week.

Fehevary is part of Caps future and would not make sense to trade. Especially attached to Mantha who would decrease his value...
