Too much for Boeser even retained. I'd prefer Rossi in there for Lindholm.

I don't think Guerin gets Lindholm, especially because he will be looking for a big pay raise after next season that the Wild can't afford. But my current pipe dream is that he does something to shake up the core and re-orient the team for when the last couple years of cap hell are through. If there is a way to get a top-six pivot who is on a manageable cap hit through at least the next couple seasons, I say do it now while the cupboards are pretty full. Plus Zuccarello and Foligno are approaching the end of their effective value/usefulness and should be traded sooner than later, IMO.

I don't think they trade for Boeser though - regardless of retention or price. They've had ample opportunity, even before the buyouts, and haven't done it. Defensively liable, oft-injured, bloated contract. Pass.

Canucks would do that. Steel played pretty well in an elevated role and fits their plan of 25 and under (and 3C need). Boeser at 4m is a great add though I'd think the first and Steel could get it done to be honest with you (but I wouldn't turn down the 2nd smile)

Steel stinks, end of story.

I love Lindholm but that is a massive overpayment unless he's resigned. Considering the Wild desperately need centers you're playing a bit fast and loose with 1st rounders.

Maybe Rossi, Foligno and 2024 1st rounder.

The assumption comes with an 8x9M extention in this case, and yes i am playing very loose with first rounders, F THE PICKS, (not really but this was just an idea i had)

I dont think i would, Rossi is not ready yet imo, and yet i dont think he ever gets to being a 1C, middle 6 at best, and yeah the boeser trade is a lot but its a late first and a second which i think is fair value for the scoring he could bring which is needed because he is a great shooter when healthy, steel is there just because i dont like him and wanted to get rid of him
