Don't see TB spending more on a backup than 1,000,000 it might be closer to 850,000

Only way Tampa has an interest in DeSmith is if the Pens retain 50%

The signings are pretty good. Solid team.

Think you're better off scrapping the trades though

I like the F moves but I think if they get a Vejmelka it would be to start and Jarry would not be asked back. I'd like to make one or two D moves too.

only d move i would do is sign ryan graves, i dont think trading petry or pettersson will get anything done in the right direction for us

Then use Desmith. Desmith is better than Vejmelka, you don't have to give up any assets for him, and he's already signed cheaper.

casey desmith is nowhere close to vejmelka and is incapable of being anything but a capable backup

Your statement is just wildly incorrect.

Last 2 seasons:

Desmith:
.908save %
5.34 GSAA

Vejmelka:
.899 save %
-22.8 GSAA

The arizona coyotes are quite bad and three quarters of their games they are carried by Vejmelka

Obviously they aren't carried - except maybe carried to losing. That's why we also include things like GSAA and GSAx in addition to save% - which Desmith is still better than Vejmelka over the past 2 seasons.

Desmith has had terrible defense in front of him as well. And has better numbers, all around, than Vejmelka. He's also cheaper and already signed.

You have no argument here.
