Regarding the trade, I've always been a big fan of Fabbri, horrible luck with injuries feel so bad for the kid. All that said, he is also 27, and doesn't seem to fit the timeline for us. We have so many forwards under contract or in our system that this would just be redundant, but also a waste of a trade chip. I'd like to see what Danny can get in terms of picks and or prospects.

Wings pass, not a player that fits their timeline or that they would consider

If the Hayes deal had some kind of retention I'd like it a lot more. I don't mind moving Veleno or Fabbri but I just don't want to pay Hayes that much money for 3 more years.

This trade deserves some consideration however, it is ultimately a pass.

Moving off of Fabbri’s contract is valuable but counterproductive to take on a more expensive & older player for just as long, albeit Hayes is better.

I’d def be interested in Hayes at 50% retention. I’d give Veleno straight up for that. Perhaps along with a 3rd or 4th rounder.
