cat is overrated. defensive casualty and fell off the map last season. no thanks. we all know what you think of goalies yet nobody else agrees.

Not to defend cat but the guy still had 66 points, yes a down year but played a high majority of the year with a rookie centre coming off major shoulder surgery Pinto and the third best winger on the team who is also a defensive liability in Batherson.

If he had of been playing with Stutzle and Tkachuk I do believe he would've been at or above career level norms and the narrative on the site rn would be different. But that's just my opinion.

i dont necessarily disagree, but that is going to hinder his value. teams are going to be wondering if he can replicate a 40 goal season. it's a big "what if".
not to mention he's going to ask for 8-9m, and after a 60 point season... thats iffy.

I also agree with your points I think he will overvalue himself and this year he will obviously have to prove himself. But he truly does hold value still IMO and many GMs around the league I think should and will still covet his goal scoring abilities. I'm a big Sens fan and watched many games last year he was very unlucky as well. Those 29 goals he scored he definitely hit about 15-20 posts maybe more so there wasn't a lot of luck on his side last season either. I'm just more so playing devils advocate here
