I’d do this no question from the Wild POV. I have zero clue why PIT would want to part with its top 3 assets to gain a goalie that’s obviously on the down swing and and an unproven young C (albeit one that’s likely to have his breakout this season).

Because they're trying to win now and we need to get more youth in the lineup. Can't do that through free agency and while I'm not a fan of giving up draft picks, doing so for a center with tons of potential is worth it for me. I know he's unproven but if there's a player who can help win now and potentially bridge the gap when the rebuild comes in 1-2 years I'd take that risk. I don't think Pens have any chance next year unless we make some bold, creative moves

Fair enough. IMO Rossi needs a mid-teens pick plus to consider moving him (which this absolutely is) the addition of Pickering would be big for the Wild prospect pool.
It’s def aggressive and the Wild really couldn’t say no.

Would 2024 1st, 2nd, + Pickering do it or do you think it's gotta be the 2023 1st? Either way though I would do it if I were the Pens

I think the pick would likely need to be this year’s. They need the certainty of who they can pick IMO. But if it’s Pickering and a 1st, it’ll be very difficult to pass up.
