The only thing making him worth anything to us is the fact we'll immediately flip him for a late 1st/early 2nd.

I think he would stay at his 30-40 goal range. Why would size matter at that point? I doubt Sens would take this deal

An AHL defenseman, a goaltender on an expensive contract with rapidly declining stats and a 2nd?

If that's all you're offering you won't even be considered to get him

Size matters because if too many of your skill players are small or soft you aren't going far in the playoffs. The flames have too many skilled small players already and none of them gets paid as much as Debrincat does. Mangiapane gets paid 600k less than Debrincat made on his expiring contract and none of the others makes anywhere near what he does yet.

That's great since we don't want him. Now stop already with all the silly trades for a player we don't want.
