Selling Patience

Created by: MNBassman
Team: 2023-24 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 12, 2023
Published: Jun. 12, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Assume Columbus makes the subsequent moves to make the cap work, if it can…
Draftees and prospects on roster only for visual purposes.
This is all about taking a big step backwards in order to take 2-3 giant steps forward in 2-3 seasons.
I assume this team would pick in the top 15 of the ‘24 draft too…which adds more value to the return for Kaprizov

The fans would gladly forget all about Kaprizov if they actually put a legit Cup contender on the ice for a decade!

Lol, bullsh*t.

I think if Rossi can be moved to wing (like here) it makes everything else better and easier.

Ceulemans and Strbak a bigger dmen.

I was talking about in the real world but I’d move Rossi in yours.

After 10 years of long Cup runs and maybe…just maybe a Cup in the trophy case and you think the fans would still be mad about trading Kaprizov???

You’re in your 20s, aren’t you?!

We love playing the right way. Until it means we have win the right way. Then when we win the right way, there will be hurt feelings because we didn’t play a 25 y/o 4th liner play with Kaprizov.

We do love to rain on a parade. Get a superstar? Win a cup! Win a cup without said superstar? We didn’t have a superstar, won’t be able to do it again! Somehow win with a superstar? (IDK what it would be but there would be something).

Come over for a visit…my world is pretty cool! It’s definitely not boring… 😁

Nope..... sorry to disappoint you.

I'm 37.

I've been here since the beginning and understand this fanbase well enough to know they'll b*tch regardless of who's on the roster or if we've won a Cup or not.

Even if by some miracle, we had both a legit 1C and adequate center depth and winger depth to pull off this magical fantasy land Cup run you've invisioned, they would still b*tch about how much even better the team could of been had we still kept Kaprizov that Cup run.

Like Thanos, it's inevitable.

In that case I would definitely make these moves.
