I'd avoid the Washington deal. Mantha is on the decline and jarnkrok is defensively better.

I am in favor of trading Jarnkrok for a bigger player. I think we can use as much size as possible. But Mantha at 5.7m cap hit is too much. I would be happy with Mantha at 50% retention for Jarnkrok though. But I can see why Washington doesn't do that.

As for the Nylander trade, I can see it being possible. HOWEVER I really do think the Leafs need a big physical top pair RD. Brodie can easily play LD. I think top pair RD should be our focus.

I want to see:

Rielly- Big top pair RD or very defensive minded RD. (This will be very hard to fill though)

McCabe-Lily
