The reason the Canucks would be moving Garland is for immediate cap space and to clear our logjam at winger. This accomplishes neither, and makes us worse

Why would the Sabres trade one of their young goal scorers for a player league GM’s are saying can be had for nothing ?

Because Olofsson doesn’t really have a spot in Buffalo anymore and garland fits into the middle 6 much better. Garland has just as much value if not even more than Olofsson

I haven't heard he was on the trade block, but all the GM's in the league know Garland is a distressed asset with a team in dyer need of clearing cap space
Too many people drinking the Jim Benning koolaid and thinking Garland has value on the trade market

Vancouver doesn’t have to clear cap for anything now though, they can make a hockey trade if they wanna move garland but they don’t have to.

Yeah now I think they keep Garland unless another team is willing to trade a top 6 RHD to get him or a 3C
