Description

IF Ekman-Larsson is a viable #3 pairing LhD, then this is a nice, easy roster to construct -- buy out Murray, re-sign O'Reilly and Samsonov, run an 8-man defense corps because with three waivers-exempt forwards who can be shuttled back and forth between the Marlies and the big club, there isn't a need to have 14 forwards inasmuch as there are 7 waivers-exempt prospects who can interchange with Holmberg, Robertson and Steeves.

The only issue is that with Brodie being the only big cap hit coming off the books, it will be hard to re-sign both Matthews and Nylander without making another roster move in 2024.

Leafs got no interest in OEL. We have Gio on the back end if anything they’ll get a legit top 4 LHD to push McCabe down the lineup

So you're saying that the team you have now is inadequate? The only thing I did to your 2022-2023 closing roster was add OEL to 22 of your existing players.
