The only reason the Hawks even consider this is because we haven't properly utilized Ian Mitchell and mismanaged his development. That's on the Hawks organization imo.

I like what we have at F more than RD by a lot though. Bedard, Reichel, Nazar, Hayes, Greene, Thompson, Dach, etc etc……. At RD we’ve got Rinzel who has always been seen as a project, and Regula who may or may not be anything. I could see KD targeting ASP or Willander for sure

True, but I wouldn't be "reaching" for a RD. Next years draft is supposed to be D heavy I thought. I'd be going not exactly Best Available, but close to it for a lot of our picks. It's a long rebuild.

Our RW isn't all that deep either. Depends if you think if Nazar will translate to Center or not.

CHI’s RD pool. Sneaky very weak and not being talked about from what I’ve seen. Wouldn’t be shocked to see them target ASP or Willander

Yeah. We'll see. I think they could wait and still get an RD with good upside, though. I definitely wouldn't focus on RD in the first round or with the 35th, though. So, they would have to slip for that to happen. But maybe at 44 depending on who else is available and what other picks we still have or have already made. Forward is just a way more pressing issue for CHI. If they were to somehow end up with a total of four 1st round picks I might consider a defenseman, again, depending on who is available.

Willander I was super high on when he was still ranked in the 2nd round. MAYBE if he falls to the late 20's I'd consider a move. I like him a lot, but if he doesn't fall, I'd be fine with going after whoever is around in the 2nd and 3rd round. We'll see though. Because, there are some pretty good forwards available pretty deep into the 2nd round, as well.
