If the Wild seek to shed cap, they will look to offload a defenceman first. Goligoski seems the most likely given his age. I doubt they want to trade the heart and soul Foligno plus a 4th for a 2nd round pick though. If they do trade someone like him to Columbus they could ask for a player in return, like Alexandre Texier (plus a pick), who is ready to play again and would be a cheap project that could still have some potential. My humble opinion!

Thanks for the feedback. I think it would be Foligno's contract that would lead to a trade. He makes $3.1 and has no protection. Doesn't sound like much but the Wild are in Cap Hell.

Aye, that's true enough. He ended up having some chemistry with Boldy, but typically, guys like Marcus Johansson are not the kinds of complementary stars you want to surround your Kaprizovs with if your expectation is a cup win. They need room for such better players.
