7 + 22 should go for the 5th + 31... add a sweetener like Struble won't move the needle... at least add your 2nd rounder (37 OA) if you want to save your 31st

Probably depends on how the draft goes let’s say their high on a player not taken in the top 4 and he’s there at 5 and they don’t think he’s getting to 7 they’d at least consider it. Having the two pick would be nice so ultimately it might not work especially if they feel like the gap between level of player they’d get a 5 and 7 isn’t too big

You'd probably have to add pick 31 or the prospect would have to be one of MTL's best, say Kidney or someone similar. Though I'm likely to believe they'd turn it down.
