I think it's gonna take more than that for the MacKinnon and Beauvillier/DeHaan trades. I know NYI have no cap space to sign De Haan, but they'll likely rather find some other way than undervalue him that much. MacKinnon will likely require all those picks being replaced by a single 1st round pick, should suffice (even if statistically, MacK and Chucky are basically the same).

I totally agree for De Haan. It'd be just better for NYI to wait the compensation anyway. For MacKinnon, fans would look at stats and say a first instead would be terrible. But I think he's a big level over Galchenuyk for his all-around play. The latter got all his stats from one-timer (a big honnest part). Thank you for your comment!

You'd have to remove that pick we're getting from COL, substitue that 2nd round pick for a 1st round pick, and likely have to add Lehkonen in that deal in order to make it happen.

That NYI deal isn't enough either. Forget Beauvillier. He's 19, 1st rd pick, they aren't giving up on him. De Haan is a possibility, but I think you'd need to include another team in the deal. You might have to get a team like ARI involved who would want the young talent (McCarron) or the assets (1st or 2nd round picks). Find out what ARI is offering and see if it's a fit for what NYI wants for DeHaan.
