See. This is what I don't get. How the **** is this team better than one with Marner. You signed Domi + Bertuzzi to Marner's cap hit. Are you telling me you would trade Marner for Domi and Bertuzzi? Jesus christ.

And you trade Marner for a good young player (check), a so so prospect and two middling picks 😕, in 2024 😞. Really poor return for a top 3-5 winger in the league, in his prime.

Necas might as well not be there because they likely won't be able to afford him the following year as a result of splurging on FAs. Although, thry could just let Nylander walk.

Also, who are you putting at 1/2 for wingers? Kucherov (top producer and best all around offensive production) and Pastrnak (top goal scorer) ?

Good point - removed Domi with patches on a 1 year show me contract.

Yes Marner is very good - the goal was to see if you could spread his cap space more evenly. I would see the ability to sign Orlov more the upside here - the leafs will be able to sign one of Bertuzzi / Domi / etc caliber top-6 winger.
