That makes no sense for Ottawa.

Krug isn't waiving his full NTC for Philly, And 2 late 1st round picks aren't getting you Scott Laughton and Travis Konecny.

Flyers easily decline. I’m not even sure that gets you TK alone lmao

Fair enough on the decline but lets not pretend Konecny is some great star. He has been putrid in the playoffs and 2 firsts in a great draft is not bad to have.

2 1sts is not good enough for Konecny but Doug Armstrong pulled Pavel Buchnevich a superior player for a 2nd and Blais. Lets see if Briere pulls more

I thought you were about to lose a scoring winger in DeBrincat and had some left D coming. Figured a future 40 goal scorer on the wing for the price you would like to pay Debrincat would make sense.

Krug wouldn’t waive for Philly and even if he did I couldn’t see that being an appealing asset for the Flyers

O'Reilly needs to be on a 1-2 year deal in this scenario. Buch, Konecny, and neighbors would need new contracts, and no one would be expiring. I think he gets paid this offseason, but if he doesn't I really like the idea of having him one more year for leadership alone

Trade-wise, it sounds like philly might get a late 1st for Laughton alone. Konecny for another late 1st (krug with a negative value of at least a 3rd) wont cut it. I also agree that Krug denies Philly. I don't think he enjoyed this past season one bit, but I doubt he is that desperate to get out. If you dropped laughton, krug agreed, and we retained say $0.5M, we might be cooking. Philly should value 1st more than everyone right about now

Your reasoning is not bad at all, but is Kyrou a Selke candidate? Because that's more of what the Sens need. However I don't think they can afford to trade Chabot

You already know Tkachuk, Stutzle, Norris, Batherson and Giroux and that they all have 30 G /70 P + potential... but even after that, you have Shane Pinto and Ridly Greig who are pretty close to make an impact

See Greig xG? That guy is high quality, I have been very high on him since his first 4 AHL games I watched when he was 18 (during Covid). I have been higher on him than Pinto despite 97% of Sens fans thinking the opposite

After that, there's a few other guys with potential like Jarventie, Ostapchuk, Pettersson, Sokolov, etc (not even naming Boucher lol)

Sens won't need scoring, they need efficient 2-way players like Nick Paul and Connor Brown (I know lol, but our GM is Pierre Dorion)

We do not need Chabot, and we sure as **** are not trading Kyrou for him - that's just nutballery. The first thing Army needs to do is move one of Leddy or Krug or maaaybe Scandella out somehow. Unless that happens, all other discussions are moot. If it does happen, there are loads of options to replace the departed LD. But they need to go get a simple J-Bo type to partner Parayko - mobile, net clearance, rebound disposal, PK-ing, etc. NOT an wildly overpriced offensive Dman. That's precisely what we're trying to correct. Move a Dman out and go offer sheet Byram... or Miller... or trade for Hanafin, but make sure it's a good deal... or even sign Soucy. It should not be hard to top playing Leddy the human tire fire on the top pairing AND the PK (which just blows my mind)

I think Chabot is a bit better then you are giving him credit for. Fine we can hold Kyrou. I think he can play better and improve on D but the biggest hole on this team is a number 1 D. If you can find one Kyrou should not be off the table. I’d be down with Hanifin or Miller as well but it’s going to hurt. None of these guys are coming here for a late 1st and spare parts

lol indeed, or maybe he has been regarded as a top-20/30 D-men for years by luck
