Description
Per Serevalli - Hanafin and Backlund will not resign. Lindholm unlikely to resign. IMO, Lindholm and Backlund are the two of the best options on the trade market to fix 2C for the Avs.

Would LOVE lindholm as the long term 2C but bet he costs a lot. Teams with deep prospect pools could view him as their 1C. Might be out of range for Avs. Backland might be a great short term option and create a shutdown 2nd line with him Val/lehky and someone like erod or another ufa winger

Yeah I think Backlund is more likely. And a defensive center is a better fit down the middle with MacK and Newhook being more offensive centers.

Lindholm is probably to expensive, unless a Toews extension is unlikely. In that case, a Toews/Lindholm/3rd team trade could be a framework to start the convo.

Backlund is more likely, I think he's be in the range of a pair of 2nds, maybe a 1st with 50% retention. But with the Avs lack of picks and prospects, I'm not sure they are a good trade partner with Calgary

A 1st for 50% retention is very appealing to the Avs.
