Pittsburgh declines. Murray's injury and performance issues were his ticket out of Pittsburgh.

Ehh. I think the value is close enough, PGH needs a goalie, and we know Dubas likes Murray. A reunion doesn't seem to be too far out of the realm of possibility

They’re not “done” by any means. None of the reports were confirmed - aside from Hanifin being verbally open to the team that he’s not staying. But guys like Lindholm, Toffoli, and Backlund are “reportedly leaning towards not re-signing” which doesn’t guarantee they won’t. It could be a negotiation tactic and the team has more time to talk to them and convince them to re-sign. It’s nothing more than media reports to get people panicking. Relax.

The Penguins need goaltenders who make saves, win games, and do not stay injured. Murray does not fit the Penguins' needs. It is also why Jarry will be waiting a while for a deal because of his underachievement and injury issues.

Dubas make like Murray. It does not mean he will be working to acquire Murray.

Outperforming is considered earning big money, underachieving, and spending the most time on the injured list. Congratulations, Murray!
