    I'm not sure Philly would do that trade. Getting older & more expensive with a worse FO% at C in order to get better at LW when Simmonds wasn't why they missed the playoffs? I don't think it addresses the Flyers needs.

    No thanks on Sharp. He's had a very good career, but he's past his prime. He's not the same player as he was the last time the Blackhawks won a Cup with him.

    Sakic needs to win the Duchene trade in order to keep his job. Schmaltz & Hammer aren't a win for COL. That'd be a "settling for" trade. They're rebuilding. He's looking for a younger top pair potential D, 1st rd draft pick, and someone young & controllable like Schmaltz-only one that is better at putting the puck in the net. If the equivalent of Schmaltz/Hammer plus swapping 2nd rd picks was all it took for Duchene, I think it would have happened at the trade deadline.

    I think the move that urked me the most is the Wingels deal. Why would you give him 2 million per when you have cap issues even with Hossa going to LTIR?
