Hossa LTIR
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rnldluce</b></div><div>I think the move that urked me the most is the Wingels deal. Why would you give him 2 million per when you have cap issues even with Hossa going to LTIR?</div></div>
Wingels makes 2+ right now.

Do the hawks still make a move?
I would rather give Sharp the money over Hudler....

TB BlockBuster and minor moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>graderman</b></div><div>No to Sharp and Oduya. NMC are huge in the "minor moves". I can see the Hawks moving both Hjalmarsson and Panarin but would hope the goal is to create cap space first and foremost. While it would be nice to acquire Drouin as well as Palat to shore up one of several weak positions, the reality most likely is that Chicago will continue their trend of going with youth. There seems to be skepticism whether or not DeBrincat can play in the NHL. Connor Sheary is doing just fine, ADB will also be good, maybe real good! Knott should get get a good, long look as well.
Cap space, center depth, defensive depth, secondary scoring would be my main concerns going into the next few weeks. Bowman, yet again, has his work cut out. After the ED, his attention just may be with Vegas until the draft. Dallas and NYI would be others to keep high on his radar, IMO.</div></div>
All great points. My thought process behind Oduya and Sharp: Both have played in the system, playing less important minutes, and alleviate the need for depth being filled out with youngsters. Other than Schmaltz and Hartman at times, I think they all could get valuable time in the A bulking up and getting stronger. One thing we didnt have this year, the versatile forwards who can play on lines 1-4 and be effective in whatever role, for example Steeg, Shaw, Ladd, guys like that. Sharp and Oduya can both do that.

Thank You Anaheim
Can you imagine if the Stars make these moves and then offer Sheet Schultz from pittsburgh at 5 years for 5.5+ ?????? They would be set on the back end for the next 5-7 seasons.

Seguin
Here's the thing: The trade isnt that bad, but Seguin has been the most consistent thing in Dallas as far as production the last three years. Schwartz is a good player as is Edmundson but I still dont think it replaces the second head of the two headed monster in Dallas' line-up.
As a Chicago fan, would you make a trade for Anisimov?

D-Fence
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Karr31</b></div><div>From a Dallas perspective, not sure any of these deals make sense. Schultz would be worth the pick if he was sure to sign, but don't see Pitt offering given the turnover on D they're likely to have already. Nill will either keep Lehtonen or deal due to his contract only having 1 remaining year, but no chance he pays that high a price for Vegas to select. Not enough for Eakin, & too much for Palat. Nill is patient and strategic, so look for him to surprise in the coming weeks. I'm hoping he'll partner our late 1st rd'er with either Eakin or Faksa for Fowler, and then add via free agency for some depth at forward. Deal Lehtonen for a pick, buyout Niemi, sign a FA backup. Done. See everyone in the playoffs :)</div></div>
Appreciate the insight man! I just moved to Dallas from Chicago in SEP and loved being able to go to as many games as I did. I watched them a lot and felt like they were 2 Dmen away from being a playoff team. The loss of Janmark hurt as well. Personally, I would take any call on Klingberg to see what his market value is. He is a complete time bomb in his own end and if he gets moved with the addition of adding Fowler to build around, I think they will be much better.

clean up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BadgerMustache</b></div><div>No interest whatsoever in Brent Seabrook. I hate everything about that trade. Why would the Leafs get two garbage picks for taking on the entirety of that contract? Why do you get two high picks and Nielsen? I know he's a project and years from making the show, but still. Throw in Ville Pokka and a higher pick if we take Seabrook with no salary retained.</div></div>
The trade sucks, but dont overlook the fact that Seabrook would add a lot of veteran leadership and size to your backend!
