Like i said, I'm not thinking of this as one for one, im thinking the sens trade debrincat for mutiple assets, and then use some assets to get toffoli in a separate trade. But ultimately i want toffoli.

Everything would depend a DeBrincat contract. Then gotta think of Flames cap. IMO, DeBrincat has full control of his next destination as he just one year away from UFA, and guaranteed a big one year contract in arbitration.

"Some of the assets to get Toffelli?." Is DeBrincat worth more than Toffelli in a straight up trade? Both are upcoming UFAs in summer of 2024, Toffelli makes about 3m less than DeBrincat in 23/24. Toffelli outscored DeBrincat last season.

Debrincat has multiple 40 goal seasons and is much younger.

Would love to bring Toffoli in Ottawa, but I just don't see Debrincat wanting to go there or signing long term there. Calgary needs players who want to play there and sign long term or picks for a rebuild. But maybe trade Debrincat somewhere where he will sign long term and use some of those assets for Toffoli and depth/goaltending would be nice.
