You think Calgary is getting the shaft in this proposal?

The only reason i could see them saying no to this deal is if they are determined to do a complete rebuild because of all the future UFAs decisions to move on.
If ownership wants to remain competitive which would seem to make sense since they still have kadri and hub on long term deals, they wont get a better return than this.

Even if they want to do a rebuild im sure they could flip Marner retained to a team for a boatload and keep Liljegren and Robertson for the rebuild.

Ultimately this deal doesn't work for either team really. Toronto and Calgary are my two teams and i dont like the trade from either side, but i hate it way more from Torontos perspective.

Lol ok and tell me, why would wpuld Marner the year after? Calgary can get a much better return for those 3 players at their cap hits now than they can for Marner at his next year

youre insane if you think youd get anything close to marner for them guys lol not to mention lily and roberston are added so youre getting a possible top 6 F a 100 pt selke finalist and a young top 4 RHD cmon man wake up

Well first of all Marner has never hit 100 points, secondly Lindholm was literally the Selke runner up 1 year ago where he had 878 votes.

You clearly vastly undervalue Lindholm. Lets put this into perspective for you. Zibanejad and Panarin play on literally the same team. Who do you think they value more between the 2 players? Now Zibanejad is a slight bit better than Lindholm and Marner has the defensive edge over Panarin but the that difference is certainly not a 60-70 point winger and a very solid top 4 defenseman.

Let me know what you think 1 year of Marner is worth on the market because all 3 of Toffoli is definitely worth a 1st, Hanifin is worth a 1st+ and Lindholm is worth even more than that
