Flyers are going to want a little more even without retention. With retention a lot needs to be added. Top 16 protection would need to be reduced to top 10 and another first may need to be added given the salary retention

If you removed the retention and added a second would you call it fair?

Yeah probably. I think dropping the protection to top 10 protected would make it a deal

Retention doesn't make sense here. You have the Canucks nearly 7 million under the cap. That kind of retention would need to give up more then Raty and a 1st.
