Pens aren't likely to trade Gran for going down in the draft. He is likely a hockey trade with another team.

Detroit passes, Not trading the 9 and 17 to move to 5 and down to 31 we're going to get two very good players at 9 and 17 and that's if we don't use the 17th pick either on DeBrincat or Konecny.

I see this working only if Yzerman is hot on Michkov and we get to the #5 pick and he's still available and no one Montreal wants more is still there. Otherwise, yeah, the value might not quite be there.
