No they do not. There is no chance NYR pay a high pick to get rid of him. His buyout structure is favorable to their short and long term cap situation. If anything, I see NYR paying a later pick to a cap strapped team (tampa, vegas, etc) that needs even the extra $200k in cap space, for them to buy him out and NYR to resign him. If a team starts saying "a secon..." drury hangs up the phone. Simple as that.

The Kings won't retain. They need every dollar of cap space they can get.

The 2nd Round Pick is in the deal to offload Goodrow. Then you’re Just swapping the 4th and 7th round picks.
