        id guess Schneider would cost more than that since he has one more year left on his ELC while the Rangers are strapped right now

        Schneider is as close to untouchable as could be.

        Why would the Rangers trade a 22 year old defenseman who has proven he's NHL quality for a 22 year old defenseman who hasn't proved himself in the NHL?
        He's not untouchable but that trade makes no sense for the Rangers

        The only way a team gets Schneider is if they want to take his perceived market and multiply by 5. The Rangers have zero reason to trade him because he the future replacement for Trouba and has future C written all over him.
