Yeah sorry Krug isn't waiving for a team that's headed for a massive rebuild.

I mean I agree, but that doesn't mean he can't be moved to someone else afterwards from there. On the flip side though, if no other option comes to fruition before the draft will he change his mind? I wouldn't exactly want to play for a team that no longer wants me. I don't blame him if he doesn't waive but I'm mostly posting this to gauge general opinions on the situation.

It was mentioned that he'd only waive to hometown Detroit due to family matters of both he and his wife. And since Detroit doesn't need or want him. It's safe to say he's staying in St Louis for the time being.

Whether they want him or not I can't say but not sure why they wouldn't need another defenseman right now. They only have four signed for next season and only one more RFA after that. If they could get Krug at 50% retained from PHI, I'd say that'd be pretty attractive for a lot of teams.

Because Detroit already has Walman, Maatta, Chiarot and Edvinsson all at LHD. Though depending on what Yzerman does in free agency. Chiarot could be the 2nd pairing RD replacing Hronek.

Nowhere legit has it been reported that Krug would only waive for Detroit. He’d waive for Boston in a heartbeat. He’s played his last game as a Blue. They might have to eat a bunch of salary, but he’ll be playing elsewhere and it prob won’t be Detroit because this rhetoric you have repeated over and over isn’t the end all be all…

Boston can't afford Krug even at 50% retained, So he's not heading to Boston. Most of the money that they cut from the Taylor Hall trade is reportedly going to Tyler Bertuzzi.

laugh Michael Augelo, Russ Cohen and Kevin Allen are very knowledgeable. They know way more than you. I agree Eklund is wrong 99.9% but the others are usually right.

I also don’t think he’s going to Boston. But you saying it’s Detroit or nothing is just nonsense. We’ll see but I’d bet a lot of money he never plays another game for the Blues
