Flyers Krug Waives Idea

Created by: capfriendlyaccount
Team: 2023-24 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 27, 2023
Published: Jun. 27, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I'm a Jets fan first so the Flyers are not my team, but decided to take a crack at a Flyers rebuild. Didn't do trade returns on Konecny/Hart because I'm too lazy/underinformed atm.

  1. Krug, Torey
  2. 2023 1st round pick (DAL)
STL
  1. Hayes, Kevin ($3,571,428 retained)
  2. Sanheim, Travis
2.
PHI
  1. Chiarot, Ben
  2. 2024 4th round pick (DAL)
DET
  1. Krug, Torey
Additional Details:
Possible retention on Krug (~ 2 mil). This deal would be attached to the initial trade with Saint Louis so that Krug agrees to waive.
3.
PHI
  1. 2023 1st round pick (BOS)
TOR
  1. Laughton, Scott
Additional Details:
Rumored that the Blues offered 1st+2nd for him but I figured with them being out a 1st already from Hayes/Sanheim doubling down with that deal might be a bit much. Supposedly a few teams have offered 1sts and Toronto makes some sense (especially if they lose Bunting/Kerfoot).
4.
PHI
ANA
  1. Hart, Carter
Additional Details:
Placeholder team, unspecified return including 1sts/players/prospects.
5.

  1. 2024 4th round pick (CAR)

  1. Deangelo, Anthony ($2,500,000 retained)

Can't speak for anyone else but I would definitely consider this because Detroit is not good at zone entries and exits and Krug would help with that for sure.

Could also really benefit Detroit having a high end PP QB. Powerplay wasn’t very good last year. And a lot of familiarity with Krug and Perron.

Yeah, and I figured with Chiarot going out you can live with the contract

Didn't think about the Perron thing, good point.
