He’s being paid 6.9 mill, that is not expensive for him. They’ll extend him. You didn’t have to give up a first round pick.
Have your opinion all you want this is definitely not a “hard no”

It absolutely is a hard no from the Avs - they can't afford to pay Nylander $6.9M, sign their RFA's and complete the roster and they definitely can't afford to re-sign him to the $9M he's going to ask for. They also sure as hell aren't sending them Byram, who has more value than Nylander. It's a bad trade all around and the Avs aren't going to go after someone like Nylander.

Okay about the financials you’re right they probably can’t extend him making him a rental. Byrams played 91 games in the show though, he’s great love the player but he doesn’t have as much value as Nylander that’s not fair to say.

Literally never ever for the Avs, even if the financials worked

I get so tired of this "He's only played 91 games so he isn't worth much" argument. Who cares? Jack Hughes played about 160 games before he signed a monster contract. Byram has shown top-pair skill and compete and he plays well in all three zones; he's not Makar but he isn't terribly far off. He scores at a .57 PPG pace; guys like that don't grow on trees. In the NHL, top-pair D, especially young cost-controlled ones hold more value than expiring wingers, even ones that are very good and score a lot.

Sharks probably accept that deal since the org is low on Labanc. Maybe remove the 4th round pick, but not a deal breaker.

Sharks accept. I dream of that trade scenario
