If no major moves are made I think the biggest problem facing Jarmo will be the logjam at wing.

Foudy, Bemstrom, Trey Fix Wolansky. All 3 should get looked at on waivers. Voronkov might just leave and go back to Russia if he isn't in the lineup. I think it gets a little bit concerning here. I would hate to see assets just disappear for nothing.

I think consolidating should be the goal. The one thing I'd like to see the lineup get is a middle 6 player who brings a significant physical presence. A guy who fills the role Josh Anderson left behind, The role Foligno left behind. I know that Olivier provides something like that but he doesn't play up and down the lineup and he won't be on a line with the guys who could use the most protection. Danforth might be able to. Voronkov might be able to but Jenner is the obvious choice here.. if you find a guy to slot into the top 6 center role short term great. I think the current top 9 will get bullied against the teams that have been in the playoffs.

In conclusion, if a top 6 center is signed Jenner can be that guy and play middle 6 wing. If Roslovic's spot is filled by Fantilli and Jenner stays at center I'd like to see a couple bodies moved for a guy who can play with force.

Players that come to mind. Marcus Foligno, Lawson Crouse, Alex Killorn, Mason Marchment, Bertuzzi. I think this kind of skill set would be more helpful in the short term than a Duchene. I don't know if any of this is feasible with the contracts we have but I think that's the last missing element.
