Guessing Guentzel wants $72m/8yrs. Doubt Hanifin is signing a extension that will take effect next season for less than Severson signed this offseason.

Hanifin would be signing for a higher AAV. As far as Severson’s term, I’m sure the penguins would offer 8 at the same AAV or lower, I just wouldn’t personally offer it for a defenseman.

With Jake I’m just banking on a slight discount due to Sid. I could realistically see him taking a slight discount to stay in Pittsburgh or go home to Minnesota if they were interested.

MIN will be about the last team signing an expensive UFA in 2024. No team will be more cap screwed than MIN.

Please tell me you're not trying to say Rittich is better than Desmith lol. I'm not saying the Jets would take Desmith, but good luck getting a better backup @ 1.8mil
