Hanifin is worth more than Toffoli and the gap between Sharangovich and McLeod is more than the upgrade from a 3rd to a 2nd.

Also Hanifin almost certainly has Edmonton on his no trade list and definitely won't extend there

Nurse is buddy buddy with McDavid and Drai. They ain't moving him. Plus he has one of the worst contracts in the league. If Oilers don't win a cup with this group, it'll be because of Nurse and his ridiculous contract. The Campbell signing was also horrible. All they needed was a cheap backup type for a year until Skinner got more comfortable. Now they stuck with that. Lol. Imagine if the oilers had an extra 9 million right now to add a goalie and some depth forwards.

Hannafin isn't going to be happy until he's playing in the US. Why would you want a player who doesn't want to play for your team.
