The islanders trade won't work unfortunately. They won't have enough money for Debrincat if they retain any salary and would likely still need to move another piece after that.

I am not a fan of spending draft capital to move Joseph. Look at his buyout next year if he has another down year they can do it then.

Hawks probably decline. Can't see them burning a retention slot for three years. And they have no room for Joseph in their lineup without making another move.

But anyway, pretty hard to do ACGMs after Dorion screw ups. This team is in pretty bad shape for a team just coming out of a rebuild

No choice to just take Pageau and picks IMO. Our GM is so idiotic it’s crazy. That DeBrincat situation had to be settled before the draft or at least before free agency… going into the off-season without even knowing your own cap situation… you really can’t make this **** up
