This is interesting alright, but I have a few problems with it:

1. When Lindholm comes back they are over the cap.
2. You signed a bunch of contracts extending beyond this year, and we have 3 star defensemen (and 3 young Fwds) in the last year of their contracts with only Bieksa and Vermette coming off the books to cover all that. The Ducks would be under water for at minimum the next 2 years.
3. The deal favors anaheim too much. The way I see it:
Vats for Pacioretty - slightly favors ANA
Ritchie and 1st for Gallagher - slightly favors ANA
Jones and cogliano for Galchenyuk - slightly favors ANA
Individually not bad, but in aggregate it feels lopsided, and gives up a lot of Anaheim's youth, prospects, and cheap ELCs.

I just don't think Anaheim needs anything so radical right now. They have a good team, really just need 1 more top 6 fwd and they'll look pretty dangerous.

I see what you are saying and I agree. Let me make a next year team and see what happens.
