Description

These are the lines I would like to see if no other changes are made.
Note: I would like to give Robertson one more try, he is still young and has never been given a fair chance with his injuries. I think him on the third line with Jark and Domi make a great fast paced third line. It would be awful defensively but that's something you can change if needed by bringing up Holmberg.
Note 2: I think you could switch Knies , Bert and Domi at any point in the season and they would all be successful. I feel as though Keefe will start Bert on the big line but could change that up at any point.
Note 3: Have Lilly play in the top 4 beside McCabe or Reilly. There is no reason to have Klinberg in the top 4 with how bad defensively he is. Give Lilly the opportunity to grow.

I think I expect McCabe and Klingberg and Gio lily. But we will see

The above lineup makes sense for forwards too. But I think we'll see Domi in the kerfoot role of switching from w to c. Can see him in top 6. Then a sheltered scoring line of Knies and Robertson with maybe Lafferty in the middle or Jarnkrok (though Jarnkrok sucks in the dot).

I really find it frustrating making lines with Reaves as he can't be on a scoring or checking line

Reaves will likely be sheltered and only come on when he is needed. I hope he will be great honestly, I like his play a lot.

That's an excellent lineup and obviously, a serious playoff contender. The problem I see is the hidden one: lack of depth, especially on defense. In particular, I can't imagine Timmins passing through waivers. But clearly Treliving has a plan, because otherwise, why would he have signed Domi and Kampf to those contracts?

Totally agree about the defense, I think this off season we went from one of our best defenses to one of our worst which is wild considering we only switched out Schenn for Kilnberg. I personally would have preferred Schenn at his uglier contract than Klinberg as we can then keep a 22 or 23 man roster, rather than running the 20 roster like we will have too.

Reaves is a negative at both offense and defense. He serves one purpose, intimidation. But he can only be on the ice sparingly (<8 minutes), which means other lines are going to have to be more fluid, or we'll be wasting 2 players. I'd rather have say Aciari, who still hits a tonne, but is a good hockey player.
