Those guys could easily have been added along with Vickers..... You get the point. Ranger fan since since 55-56. For me it all started with Leaping Lou Fontinato who was the toughest guy in the NHL in the 1950s. That is until he tangled with Mr. Hockey. Gordie Howe broke Lou's nose and transformed his face into chopped meat. The Leaping nickname referred to Lou's special talent of leaving the ice to deliver a check along the boards (legal at the time). Add the bench emptier, the smoke-filled room. Ah, old time hockey.
