At this point, I just want SOMEONE TO DO SOMETHING! This must be the slowest offseason in NHL history based on trade volume.

I guess I'm just not that high on Berggren. I would also rather have Branny than Rasmussen.

Berggren slides into our middle 6 on an ELC and we can sign Tarasenko or Tatar with the savings. win win

Detroit definitely passes, Can't see Yzerman trading either 6'6" Michael Rasmussen and 6'8" Elmer Soderblom when he and Derek Lalonde said that the team needs to get bigger and stronger upfront.

Personally, I'm not a fan of signing those UFAs. Especially to multi-year deals. If it's a one-year deal at a reasonable cap hit, I wouldn't mind. But I doubt they will sign something like that. I also just think Detroit fans are overvaluing Berggren in general. Ottawa would only have 3 years of control over him as he's already 23, and I just don't think he becomes anything more than a 40ish point winger. Just my opinion haha.
