laugh Dunn is getting a hell of a lot more than $4,600,000 per year.

And DeBrincat doesn't want to play that far west, So this deal isn't happening.

Seattle would politely decline this trade offer. Though DeBrincat would undoubtedly be a boost to their forward group, the Kraken are very deep in forwards and shallower on defense. The way their team is constructed, a top-pairing defenseman like Dunn is far more critical than DeBrincat would be, so Seattle is just going to hang onto him. Dunn will be a Kraken for years to come.

Even though his cap hit is $4.6, his real cash will be $6 million (for potential trade, the Sens are paying $2 million of his $8 million).

With a MNTC he will be sure to include all teams that have cap space to buy him out on it.

So.... A bottom feeding team (who will likely be on Murray's NTC list) trades for him.

Murray would rather force the Leafs buy him out and than choose the team he wants for League minimum.

I don't see LivingTree being so carefree about giving away Draft picks like candy to kids like the little twerb Dubas did to get rid of his mistakes.

The Isles traded their 2nd Rd to get rid of Bailey, so that's the measuring bar on what a Murray trade bribe would cost.
