Description

Unpopular opinion, but I think we can fill DeBrincat's spot internally by year's end. Sokolov, Jarventie, and Grieg are all really strong prospects and it's hard for me to believe that at least one of them can't take on that role. Let's not forget all our great core pieces, Norris, Batherson, Stutzle, and Brady were tossed into a top 6 role at young ages and that's why they're so good today.

I can almost guarantee you that Elmer Soderblom isn't in play for Alex DeBrincat.

When your Coach and GM say at their season ending presser, That the team needs to get bigger and stronger upfront. The very last player you trade is your 6'8" Behemoth in Elmer Soderblom.

I don't think Berggern should be traded at all but I would trade him before Soderblom. His skillset is almost identical to Tage Thompson's. Soderblom needs to get stronger before his style of play is effective just like Thompson. So Detroit isn't moving him. You also have to consider that Hamara has no value from Detroit's pov. Detroit has more LHDs than Ottawa does and they have at least 3 LHD prospects better than Hamara. So you might as well keep him since he does nothing for Detroit.
