I'm not saying this is a good deal, but Granlund+2nd is also bad. Also Kane stinks whenever the puck isn't on his stick, so not a good comparison.

Kane was hurt and he limited the number of teams he would accept a trade too down to 2. Not even close to the same.

You get my point regardless, a 1st and 4th for freakin 35 year old David Perron at 50% ain't it lol.

Teams give up more for less at the deadline all the time especially for salad retention. Nick foligno and David savard both got 1sts when they were traded a few years ago. You really think Perron can’t get a 1st?

Yeah and the Foligno trade was terrible, Savard... eh, he was a solid defensive defenseman in CBJ and TB won the cup that year, still probably an overpay.

i'd send a 2nd and the wings could retain like 1m, would never give up a 1st for a player that age.
