Description
The only weakness on this team is needing a 1C but they have a **** ton of cap space so there's definitely room for one. Aho, Matthews, Crosby and Drai are all free agents the next 2-3 years.

Then o yeah you have Cristall, Suzdalev, Chesley, Johnson, and Allen all coming the season after with a slew of more cap space (Ovi, Carlson, Jensen) opening up. Team has a real chance of not going through a rebuild at all. Just need to get a 1C and 1D with that cap space with lots of them hitting UFA.

I'd say there's a less than 5% chance that's his last season... I'd be willing to bet 1000 Schrute bucks that he plays at LEAST another 4 years to get to 1000 goals... I highly doubt he scores 60 the next 3 years to get himself there and will probably drop off each year a bit, and that's IF he stays healthy for a full 70+ games each year...

He only needs 73 goals in his last 3 seasons to tie Gretzky. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't break it in the next 2 seasons, let a lone 3. BUT I'd love to see him play for as long as he wants.

I don't think tying or JUST beating Gretzky will be enough for him. I think he wants 1000.

That'd be great though I wonder if he'd be okay with just hitting 900 since no one else has done that. 1000 would be hilarious though.

There's been a lot of reports that is what he's aiming for and honestly, I don't think it's out of reach, it will just take him a few.

Even at 40+, he can be a PP specialist playing 10 minutes a night and still probably put up 20 a year easily. Say he puts up 40-50 each of the next 2 years, drops to 25-30 at age 40, a couple more years at 20ish will put him over the top. It's a very real possibility if he stays mostly healthy.
