    How about this.....we agree that after Laffy is signed, who ever is wrong comes back on here and admits it? You game?

    Why would he sign between $2.5 and $2.75m is your question, right? Well, the answer is...he has no leverage as an RFA without arbitration rights and the recent Ranger RFA history for 1st round forward picks is Chytil at $2.3m x 2 years for his first contract after his ELC and Kakko at $2.1m x 2 years. Why would Laffy get significantly more than either of these players? He won't. He will get a little more based on his production so far and status as a 1OA pick.
