Just so folks can follow along, this is what Seattle would look like on the proposed thread here: https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/745700?post_id=4298535

My initial thoughts:
1) This is still a lot more nuanced trade as it is going to put Seattle right to the cap. A lot better spot top start this is assuming Seattle has 1M in space with Dunn going 8x8.
2) Even with the cap going up next year Nylander would need to re-signed before they would give up assets.
3) Remove Brodie and Tolvanen from the trade. Seattle doesn't need another D coming back.
4) This trade still doesn't make much sense from Seattle's perspective this year. Next year when you have Wennberg, Eberle, Brodie (In this example) and/or Schultz coming off the books it makes more sense with the expectation of some of the farm making the team.

Can't disagree with any of those points at all. Honestly I was thinking the same after, about removing Tolvenan and Brodie, but I would still want Oleksiak back in the deal. That guy is a monster. Could you imagine the powerhouse they would be with Willy though, every team in the league would be in trouble. Definitely going to be interesting to see what happens with him. Ngl, I said trade him about 5 years ago and look what's happening now lol guy wants 10M and we might just have to trade him for nothing or let him walk
