What to do

Top pairing RHD vet on a low cap hit like Larsson is worth way more than what you have there which is two guys who can barely make a playoff lineup on a bad playoff team and a mid pick</div></div>
I couldn't agree more.

Seattle declines. Need an aging center more than they need wingers.

Can't see Seattle trading Gourde and Tanev in the same deal. Off-season could see Tanev being moved because of winger depth. Gourde probably makes it to the TDL.
I'm not opposed to the trade but I don't think Seattle bites the way it is there.

Doubt McCann waives as he still has hard feelings over the expansion draft. Pretty sure Toronto and Pittsburgh are on his NMC teams based off comments in local media.

I think Seattle would accept that trade. But I'm also a mark for Hamaliuk since his Thunderbird days. Seems like he's always had injury issues but kid was talented at the Major Junior level.

Marner to Philly
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>themostleaf33</b></div><div>Lol "crap offer".
Robertson is going to be a 20+ goal scorer.
Holmberg is going to be an excellent middle 6 forward, who will play both ends of the ice. They have both proved this year they can play at an NHL level.
Considering Larsson regressed heavily this season when compared to his 2022-23 season, and the fact that he is going to be going into the final year of his deal, this is a pretty fair offer.
Seattle won't get a much better offer</div></div>
30 other teams would offer better for Larsson that what TML ACGM's think he is worth.
You are delusional if you think this offer meets Seattle's needs. That would be like Seattle offering McCormick and Lind for Reilly.

As a Seattle fan I love the trade. But you also highlight the exact reason why Tanev doesn't get traded. Hakstol loves him for all the reasons you listed. Personally I'm tired of his lack of skill. You can find someone with that hustle and better hands out there.

Krakheads what do you think
hypothetically I'm ok with it but another variable to consider - McCann has said he will not go back to Toronto because of how they handled the expansion draft with him. Highly dependent on Marner signing an extension. Can't see a team doing that for one year unless it's a playoff run at the TDL.

Wright's ice time is coming from Wennberg not blocking him.

Tanev will fetch more than a 6th from most of the league.
Add at least 1M more for the contracts to Beniers and Tolvanen. Other than Reinhart can't see Seattle spending on those free agents. And my main concern on Reinhart is whether this year specifically was an anomaly.

Beniers isn't getting a 7x7.75 deal with the season he just had. He'll get a bridge deal in the 4-5.5M range for 3 years.
I don't think RF would give up that much for one year of TK either. Probably offer Firkus and a 2nd.

Summer Rebuild
Ron Francis has yet to trade away a first round pick so I don't see that happening. If they want offense, they'll go hard for Guentzel or Reinhart assuming they are available on July 1.

Kraken Off Season 24-25
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>I do think Chychrun would be a good fit there for sure</div></div>
That would probably be either Oleksiak or Dumolin heading to Ottawa to make the space. I can't see Seattle having Evans as the #7 D for a second year in a row. And we know Schultz is out at the end of this contracts. I don't think the Kraken are married to either of them but at the same time, as mentioned in my notes, I think RF gives the initial expansion roster to the TDL to see if 22/23 was a fluke in getting to the playoffs.

Thank you for the feedback. I think it could be any team in the east but had seen some interest from Ott and Buf on B.Tanev so just chose Ott.

Not sure why everyone thinks Wright is a bust already. Had a great season in CV, last five game call up looks closer to the player Seattle expected when drafted - playing meaningful minutes as a top 6 forward with support around him.

This is kind of my favorite scenario for Seattle as I wonder if they trade out of it with a team like the Sharks. Seattle has yet to draft a D in the first round but at the same time Celebini might be hard to pass up.

nastier TML better defense
Seattle passes. While they need offense, they need it from the forwards and not the blue line. Losing Soucy took away alot of the physicality on the team that Larsson, Oleksiak, and Borgen didn't pick up.

checking
Beniers is going to get a bridge deal that is something like 3x4M. Tolvanen probably gets something similar.
I don't think Seattle brings Yams back as he just wasn't consistent enough on the forecheck for the system they run.
Signing Stephenson blocks Wright from joining the club. His last 5 game stint is pretty reflective on the player they want him to be and the 2C job is his to lose. I'm hit and miss on DeMelo but ultimately he keeps Evans from playing most nights and the club wants Evans on the ice. They still need to find a D that can play as physical as Soucy as you aren't seeing it from Larsson, Oleksiak, or Borgen.
Toffoli is an interesting choice as they need offense from somewhere. My guess is they make a hard push for Reinhart if he hits FA on July 1 as the finishers they've been drafting (Firkus, Rehkopf, Goyette) are still at least a couple years away from the NHL if they make it.

Messing Around
Seattle isn't trading Beniers rights or a 1st round pick. They need center depth way more than winger depth. Marner may be a great talent but for one year of service that's not really worth it for the organization. They'll keep Beniers for half the cost and try to fill in winger scoring through FA or prospects.
